In Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) at Anzac park, teachers support students in creating a positive culture of collaboration. Teachers create learning programs that reflect the importance of education that prepare students to be active contributors to a 21st Century society.
Through our conceptual teaching and learning programs, Stage 2 students begin to broaden their perspectives on national and global issues in alignment with syllabus content.
Programs are focused on fostering a Growth Mindset through Anzac Park’s Learning for Life Capabilities; collaborate, reflect, imagine, persevere, question and connect.
Teachers and students utilise innovative learning environments to cultivate self-directed learning.
Technology is consisting integrated throughout Stage 2 learning programs. For this reason Anzac Park’s BYOD program begins in Year 3, giving all primary students 1:1 access to devices.
Moon Shot Thinking Projects: Students are given allocated time during class to explore their passions and interests. Students apply their critical and creative problem-solving skills to explore and create projects of interest.
The STEAM program assists Stage 2 students to apply interdisciplinary skills and understandings in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, in exciting and authentic projects.
Teachers use a wide variety of assessment strategies to identify students’ current understandings and skills. Student conferencing and visible goal-setting is built into programs to provide tailored feedback.
