Stage 1 is a time for students to build upon the foundations established in Kindergarten by making connections with the wider world, while developing their creative and critical thinking capabilities.
Students in Year 1 and Year 2 engage in a range of conceptual programs across the Key Learning Areas to deepen their understanding of topics such as ‘Point of View’, ‘Form and ‘Function’, ‘Significance and Change’ and ‘Spatial Relationships’.
Students connect with these concepts by engaging in inquiry driven learning experiences that relate to real world subjects and problems.
We have high expectations of our students and pride ourselves on delivering targeted programs that meet students individual needs, allowing them to achieve their full potential.
Learning includes whole class, group and individual activities that focus on building students holistic understanding of concepts, while providing individual support and guidance.
Learning is focused on the total development of the child, meeting intellectual, physical and emotional needs while developing the qualities they will require to be successful in the future.
