Anzac Park Home Learning Policy Review
In 2017, Anzac Park Public School developed a new Home Learning Policy. This document aims to provide clear guidelines about homework expectations at Anzac Park Public School, to our community, staff and students.
This document was formed by a committee consisting of staff, school executive and a parent representative from the P&C. As well as examining DoE and external research into the value of homework, the committee surveyed teachers, students and parents/carers to find community beliefs about home learning. These surveys collected feedback and perspectives from 185 parents/carers, 93 students (Years 2-6), and 14 teachers.
Anzac Park's Home Learning Policy is attached. Also attached is the DoE document, A Homework Policy: Research scan, and a research article for any parents who are interested.
Part of the process involved in forming this policy included reviewing it based on current research, and feedback from our Parents/Caregivers, students and staff.
