Our school library
A Place to Learn, Imagine, and Belong
APPS library is where our learning community comes together. It’s a welcoming hub for students, teachers, and families to explore, discover, and connect.
- Weekly Library Lessons: Each hub participates in a library lesson, delivered either collaboratively by the library and classroom teachers or by one of our two specialist library teachers.
- Focus Areas: digital literacy, research skills, and reading comprehension skills are emphasized.
- Borrowing System: Students can borrow books for home and classroom reading.
Our library opens each morning before school for book returns and welcomes students every lunchtime as a calm, friendly space to read, relax, and enjoy quiet activities. It’s a place where curiosity flourishes and wellbeing is nurtured.
Every second month, our Friday lunchtime workshop or presentation encourages students to explore our non-fiction collection in new and exciting ways. These sessions often feature parent speakers or external experts, giving students the chance to hear real-world perspectives, discover fresh ideas, and connect their learning to the wider community.
